I'm drinking 8 cups of water a day and walking three miles every night. Is it possible to lose 20 pounds in a month and a half?
Your opinions + maybe tips?

Definetley, it also depends on what you eat. If your eat calories based on the amount your body needs a day and you exercise like that it will come off pretty fast. A tip would to do it in the morning when your body is looking for an energy source( which would be fat) it will burn quicker, also if maybe you made that walk into a light jog it will burn quicker too.

ok so im a guy and an aspiring model and i need to lose 20 pounds for a shoot as fast as possible! i dont care if it is unhealthy…this is my career on the line! after the shoot im going to return to a healthy diet and see the physican! i cant stop eating completely but i can and will do whatever it takes! remember the weight i lose has to be completely made of fat not muscle!

any help would be appreciated

Go on this diet called the Scarsdale Medical Diet: http://lowcarblisa.tripod.com/id18.html I used to go on this diet all the time until I lost the weight i wanted. You stay on this strict eating plan for 2 weeks and then there is another plan for 2 weeks…then u go back on this one. You have to stick to it EXACTLY bc its a chemical thing…and its super healthy for u and makes u feel good cuz its all stuff we should be eating everyday anyways…fruit protein fiber, etc so not only will it help ur body a lot in general…u loose weight FAST. Usually people lose 15-20 in the first 2 weeks. My first time i lost 10 in the first week. I exercised as well :) and i was avg in weight…5'10 140 pounds…i just wanted to 120. so i went on the diet a few years ago for 2 weeks and lost 10 pounds and then stayed on it for another 2 weeks and lost 7 more…and that was years ago and im still 120. It doesnt come back at all as long as u keep watching what u eat after u go off it. Hope this helps :)

You can follow the links below, which will tell you about all there is to know about this syrup-based diet. The sound of "maple syrup diet" is a little misleading. To follow the actual plan, the syrup is watered down to a ridiculous level, and then you live on nothing else for several days. (More accurately it is the "sugary water starvation diet".)

If you have the discipline to stay on a plan like this, you WILL lose weight, due primarily to radical calorie reduction. However, if you have the the kind of discipline required to intentionally stave yourself for a week…you could lose actual weight, that you would keep off, through a more traditional diet and exercise plan.

Of the people I've known to try this, I don't think anyone has lasted the entire recommended term, and no one has kept off the weight they did lose for more than a couple of months.

It must work for some people, but I think they are the exception to the rule.

Also could a 500 pound person lose 10 - 20 pounds in 1 day. Just answer the question! If there other ways to lose that much that fast pleasr tell me.

20 to 30 pounds of weight loss for the first week of a water fast is normal, after that weight loss slows to about 3/4th of a pound per day… this is taken from an alternative medicine book
