Increase Endurance With Interval Training

Interval training and HIIT, has been used by me for over 10 years. It jacks up the metabolism, increases your natural fat burning hormone (HGH) and simply helps you lose a lot more body fat than diet alone. This isn’t any new information for the people that already know about interval training. A thing that is not always known however, is that when you do interval training, you are better able to do endurance exercise.

The Interval Training Study With Surprising Results

16 subjects divided into two groups was used in a study that was published in the Journal of Applied Physiology in 2005. Eight of the people were a control group that did nothing over two weeks, and the other eight people did sprint intervals for two weeks. Before the two weeks, and after the two weeks, both of the groups were tested for their endurance. In this short period of time, the interval group doubled their endurance capacity.

Endurance Benefits Greater Than Endurance Exercise

So we know that HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) has been proven to increase endurance more than people who do nothing, but what about people who do endurance exercise? The researchers say that the result of their interval study is…”comparable to or higher than previously reported aerobic-based training studies of similar duration”. The subjects in their study, increased their endurance capacity more than an endurance study…where the participants did endurance exercise for a total of 20 hours in two weeks (2 hours per day for 5 days each week).

15 Minutes of HIIT vs 2 Hours of “Regular” Cardio?

It is kind of crazy to think that doing HIIT can increase endurance capacity more than doing endurance exercise itself. This will be a pretty big paradigm shift for a lot of people. This study isn’t new by any means, but this info still hasn’t reached mainstream. Even today, when I go to the gym, very few people are doing any kind of interval exercise. This completely blows my mind! For at least five years we have known that Interval training can be one of the top ways to increase endurance, and for over 15 years, we have been aware that HIIT is one of the greatest at fat burning.

How Can This Help Endurance Athletes?

I still believe that you must include endurance exercise if you are an endurance athlete. You have to strengthen the tendons and muscles to be able to endure the pain involved in endurance exercise. What I would recommend is a mix of intervals along with your endurance training. That way you get the best of both worlds.

How Does This Help Everyone Else?

I like to “milk” a little more fat burning after HIIT by throwing in some steady state cardio. Also, when you have to run for a long period of time, this is great for conditioning your joints and body. With an absence of body aches for the next two to three days, I can run for 20- 30 minutes. Right now, I only do this 1-2 times a week. If you are just after getting lean there probably isn’t any real need for long periods of steady state cardio.

In doing my research the name Tom Venuto kept coming up as a knowledgeable person in the weight loss industry.  He had a book called Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle and with a title like that it warranted a closer look.

There are a lot of fake weight loss experts roaming around out there. But once you meet with them, you realize they are fat and unhealthy and just trying to make some extra cash. Most of them do not possess any knowledge of fitness and do not know how to teach the people looking for their assistance.

I found that he was actually a well-known fat loss coach and an experienced bodybuilder. I don’t know if he’s a trained and educated personal trainer or not but photos are the best evidence in the health and fitness world.

So this caught my attention as being practice what he preaches evidence.

There are a lot of people discussing this and usually there appears to be great results. As you’ve probably seen in the infomercials before and after photos are the most powerful evidence to prove whether an exercise, workout system, or diet plan really works or is just marketing hype and hot air.

I’m e’er a bit unbelieving by nature and so once something I’m looking at proves itself after my thorough search, the creator did it, and lots of another grouping followed his/her route and methods to do it then it becomes true to me.

As you know there’s lots of hype and outright lies in the health and weight loss field. Do not be fooled by the hundreds of pills and special ways to lose weight. Many of these hoaxes claim to help you lose 10 pounds in 24 hours.

Obviously, you know there’s no way to rip 10 pounds of fat off your midsection in only 24 hours by only taking a blue pill and then sitting around on your ass and sleeping.

As part of the process, you’ll have to develop a mild exercise or aerobic routine, and perhaps consider changing your diet to more nutritious, vitamin- and mineral-enriched, and lower fat and calorie choices that enable your muscles to work more efficiently.

Thankfully, this is where burn the fat shines.  It’s backed by rocksolid research in science, doesn’t claim to be some sort of overnight miracle cure, and actually has simple and practical concrete steps you can take to be healthier and drop that unwanted weight.

I was struck with wonder when I heard about Tom Venuto.  Is it true that he could burn the fat? Could he teach me how to reduce my weight? How nice if he could tell me how to become lean?

Many people claim to be excellent ‘weight loss’ or ‘fat loss’ coaches but are fat themselves or they’re in good shape but don’t have the skills and knowledge to know how to teach the 4 different learning types of people out in the marketplace.

After doing some research he showed to be an acclaimed bodybuilder and fat loss coach. I have no idea if this personal trainer is trained or educated, but the pictures show what he can do.

I noticed that Tom Venuto practiced what he preached.

There are a lot of people discussing this and usually there appears to be great results. Surely you have seen the television commercials that show people in before and after images that either prove the exercise, workout, or diet causes weight loss or they prove that the media exaggerates the results.

Can you cite one with acknowledged proof of working? The proof should be universal.

I don’t think so and that’s why testing out for yourself is the only way to know for sure.
