Tone Flabby Arms - Three Common Myths Revealed

Jun 10 2009 Published by Lose 20 pounds fast under Lose 20 pounds fast

Many women believe that the only way to tone flabby arms or any other part of their bodies is to work out for hours in the gym every week. Not only is this not possible for women who are holding down jobs, looking after children and running a home, it is totally unnecessary. Who wouldn't want to have lean and sexy arms and bodies, but not if it's going to take up all our spare time.

You do not need to work out for hours in order to achieve your dream body. Here we will bust apart commonly held belief about building muscle.

Mistake Number. 1 – You have to workout for hours to make any difference
Even working out for one hour or more can start to have a negative effect on the body. This is because too much exercise can cause problems such as injuries, loss of muscle tone and increase stress on the body. Not only can this lead to exhaustion, anxiety and lethargy, it can make you even gain weight.

The answer is to keep your workouts short and sweet. An intensive workout for just 20 minutes is just as effective. Get a good sweat going within the first 5 minutes and keep up the hard work for the entire 20 minutes. It is certainly easier to fit in 20 minutes of intense exercise into your routine than longer sessions.

Myth Number. 2 - Lifting weights will make you look bulky
Even when women work out with heavy weights, they still have lean and toned bodies. They certainly do not look like a female version of ArnoldSchwarzenneger! It is a complete myth that using weights will make you big and bulky.

It would be a mistake to not use weights because you won’t be able to build lean muscle, raise your metabolism and burn off calories otherwise. The solution is to lift as heavy weights as you can handle, for 6-12 reps. It is only through using heavy weights that you can start to develop lean, defined and sculpted arms.

Myth Number. 3 – low or medium intensity workouts are better

When you work out with heavy weights at high intensity, you force your body to increase the amount of calories it burns during your workout, which last for the rest of the day. Imagine how great it could be burning calories even whilst sitting in front of the TV or computer. This is known as the after-burn effect. This doesn't happen if you only do low or medium intensity workouts.

It only takes a 20 minute high intensity workout for you to get the after-burn, so make every minute count. Use weights that are as heavy as you can lift safely, for 6-12 repetitions. A great way to keep up the intensity and increase the burn is to do a couple of minutes skipping between repetitions.

We hope this has busted the most commonly held myths about muscle building. If you want to know more about how to tone flabby arms then visit my tone flabby arms website for a complete program that takes less than 90 minutes per week. That sounds great to me!

Read A Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle Review First For A Good Weight Loss Program

May 21 2009 Published by Lose 20 pounds fast under Lose 20 pounds fast

If you feel that you are not going anywhere with your present diet program, then, you should try to look for something that doesn’t promote food h. Right now, there is one such book guide that doesn’t claim it will help you lose weight but it will only tell you how to control your food intake, what kind of exercises you need with no use of drugs or medications. This book guide is called the Burn The Fat Feed the Muscle book and it was written and created by Tom Venuto, a former fat guy who have made some development and research for over 14 years to get back in shape. Now, that Tom Venuto has got the thing that no one has ever imagined that he can, he is more than willing to share this to anybody who wants to eradicate their fats the way he has attained.

According to a Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle review, this is now one of the most popular book guides that have ever existed in the diet industry and you know why? It’s because it will let you have the opportunity to lose fat the natural and safe way and keep them off for good. You see, the trouble with other diet programs is it is only concerned with the “now”. They will teach you how to burn your fat the “miraculous” way and will claim that you can in just a few days.

But Tom Venuto’s book is different. This program will teach you how to prevent your metabolism from crashing. For example, when you go on a crash diet, your metabolism crashes and when the time comes when you have really lost a lot of weight, you will crave for the foods once again, those foods that you have missed and then, get on an eating binge once again until you become obese again. This time, with the aid of Tom Venuto and his Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle book, it would be different.

Exercise the right way to lose that belly fat.

May 13 2009 Published by Lose 20 pounds fast under Lose 20 pounds fast

How do I lose all that belly fat?” is…

None! Ab workouts in themselves will not give you enough of a metabolic response in your body to create fat loss, thus more is needed.

You might be wondering what the best types of exercises and workouts are for losing stubborn stomach fat in order to bring out visible six pack abs. The problem is that most people with excess stomach fat looking to try to uncover their abs are searching for some “miracle abdominal workout” that is going to slash the fat off their abs in no time.

The thing is… the problem is trying to be solved in the wrong way! If you only do ab workouts, you are not going to lose stomach fat.

The problem is that focusing most of your time and effort on abdominal exercises and abs workouts to try to flatten your stomach and bring out 6-pack abs is simply wasting your time from doing the correct workout programs that will lose you belly fat.

If I were to choose an answer as to what the best exercises are for losing belly fat, my answer would include full body exercises such as the following:

various forms of squats, lunges, deadlifts, clean & presses, snatches, swings, presses and pulls, mountain climbers, sprinting, etc.

These types of full body exercises would encompass a much higher percentage of the workouts I would design instead of abs exercises directly targeting the midsection. The way you combine those full body exercises into a strategic workout that maximizes your metabolism is also very important.

Let me explain further… I do recommend a certain amount of exercises that directly target the abs and core, but these are only a small fraction of the programs I design for my clients as your time is better spent focusing on the full body exercises that stimulate the greatest hormonal and metabolic changes within the body. In addition, a side-effect of working out using mostly full body multi-joint combo exercises are that you indirectly work your entire midsection even though you are not specifically targeting the abs.

The most important part in getting rock hard abs is the nutrition you take in. You can workout until the cows come home, but if you eat junk food it defeats your purpose. The key to getting great abs is nutrition.

Let me explain it in further detail…

Stop wasting so much of your time focusing on situps, crunches, leg raises, and all those worthless “ab machines” in your desire to try to develop 6-pack abs. Instead focus on high intensity full body lifts using combination multi-joint exercises all strategically combined into highly effective fat loss workouts. Couple that with a healthy diet full of natural unprocessed whole foods as close to their natural state as possible, and those elusive six-pack abdominals will yours in no time!

What Are The Fast Weight Loss Options?

Feb 18 2009 Published by Lose 20 pounds fast under Lose 20 pounds fast

Visit Health and Fitness Tips to read an updated version about fast weight loss tips and more advice about easy ways to lose weight.

Many people need to lose some weight, that’s a fact. Walk around where people gather, you’ll see it. Don’t laugh. Unfortunately you’re likely to see it in the mirror too. If you’ve made fast weight loss your goal, keep these simple things in mind to take off the pounds quickly and safely.

When people want to lose weight one of the most common things they do is to skip meals. It makes sense, right, cut out the calories by eating one fewer meal. Doesn’t weight loss come with eating less calories? Yes, but skipping meals is a mistake, not the right way to reduce calories. Your body thinks it’s being starved when you skip meals. It goes into “starvation” mode. It starts to retain fat to counteract what it perceives as a shortage of food. When you skip meals you’ll end up hungrier at the next meal. The result is binge eating. Skipping meals is the worst of both worlds that results in gaining even more weight. Don’t skip meals.

Know how much to eat. Portion control is just as important as eating the right food. Too much of even a healthy food still results in weight gain. It’s hard to do when large portions are so common. Restaurants serve over large portions, as do most people at home. Sources such as the FDA list recommended daily allowances. If you must eat out, keep portion size in mind. You’ll likely have to cut down on what a restaurant serves.

Replace white foods such as white bread, white rice and sugar with whole grain foods. Whole grains are rich in nutrients and low in fat. The fiber in whole grains helps you become full faster, and feel fuller longer. Also whole grains contain many nutrients that are often lacking in people’s diets.

Drink more water. Replace juice and soda with water since that juice and soda adds 90,000 calories to an average person’s diet every year. Drink it between meals too. In fact, the goal is 8 glasses of water each day. It seems like a lot, but it’s not. Drinking water will also promote health in general by keeping you well hydrated and helping to avoid overheating.

In order to maintain proper blood sugar eat healthy snacks between meals since the body needs food every three to four hours. Eating healthy snacks, such as fruits, helps control eating at meal times.

With some knowledge and planning, fast weight loss is easily possible. Keep these things in mind and pretty soon you’ll see a slimmer you when you look into a mirror.
