Fitness is a Choice: Will You Be Your Own Coach or Employ a Fitness Coach

Summer is nearly here, are you ready for it? Wow, it’s been a long, cold, dreary winter. That’s right, you’ve not kept up that regular workout. You have stayed home on the weekend. And you have eaten far too much. Just take a look at yourself in the mirror and face it: you’ve packed on the kilos. That is the first step. Not accepting it will only keep you desperate and dateless through to next winter. Hey, don’t be gloomy, sun, surf and sand are just around the corner. Getting back out there on the dating game is but one or two sit ups, push ups and jogs away.
It doesn’t mean you have to buy an expensive fitness centre membership or become one of those hyped up muscle junkies. Whatever you do, don’t start purchasing all those expensive powders, formulas and shakes. Because that is where you’ll finish up, in hospital and awfully sick. What you must do is simply start eating sensibly and doing some routine exercise.
Eating moderately essentially means eating foods with less fat, less sugar and less salt and in controlled portions, then space out those portions all though your day. This way, you eat more meals in littler portions but stretch them out from breakfast through dinner. Snacking is essentially encouraged, so long as you’re nibbling on good things like fruit, nuts and yoghurt; not junk food, candy and potato chips.
80 percent of weight loss can be controlled through managing your food intake. But not the old fashioned “diet” you’re thinking of, rather a planned, disciplined and healthy eating regime. Nothing fancy, nothing pricey. The remaining twenty percent is, you know it, physical exercise, sweat and a little pain. But it’s truly not as nasty as it sounds.
Think about it: 70% of the week you are most likely at work. So if you achieve 80% of weight control thru diet, the leftover 20% can be ticked off over Saturday and Sunday, when you have more time. Add in a morning or night here and there for a fast jog, ride or swim and you’re well on track to achieving your summer body.
You really only really need to do about 20-30 minutes of exercise outside of your normal daily movement. So no cheating by exclaiming you walk to the train or do lots of housework. That is all good, but it's also your standard routine so your body will not see it as “exercise” and therefore you will not make any progress. For quick and effective results, you might want to get yourself a personal trainer who will advise you on health, nutrition and lifestyle and inspire you to fit into that tiny black dress or those amazing super skin-tight jeans.
You’ll be warranted a sexy hot body and a rejuvenated confidence that should help you snag the man of your summer dreams. If you do not get a date after you get fit all is not lost. You will achieve greater confidence, a more fit lifestyle and a better you, only a matter of time before you attract the person who likes who you’ve become instead of what you were.
Whether a private trainer or a regular fitness program, achieving the best body is more than simply going for a run. It is a change of lifestyle.
